A difficulty with managing impulses or inhibiting their responses puts ADHD teens in a difficult place. This means that the typical temptations for all teens are worse for ADHD teens. Similarly, due to not paying attention, academic underachievement, car accidents and injuries are more common for them. I will discuss these issues in this category. A key for teenage parenting you is to understand that the 10 years before he became a teen that creates the “bubble” or security of a good relationship to withstand all of these changes.
